Globally, 2000 landmines that are left behind from wars and military conflicts explode every month. That’s one every 20 minutes. 95% of the casualties from those landmines are civilians and more than half of those are children. A sobering statistic for sure. Helping Hands is more than a community give back event, it’s a time for your team to work together to do something truly remarkable – build a prosthetic hand for a landmine victim.
This unique program is about perspective, inspiration, and collaboration. Colleagues work closely together building a fully functional prosthetic hand that will most certainly make a difference in someone’s life. All the hands they are given free-of-charge to those in need around the world.
There won’t be one person who isn’t totally engaged in the process and inspired by the outcome.
